Other Cub Scout Awards

Other Awards Available to Cub Scouts

All Cub Scouts have numerous opportunities to be recognized with awards for their achievements. This goes far beyond the Advancement Trail and Electives available at each rank. There are numerous awards and event participation patches offered at both the national and council level.

Activities can be done individually, in the Den, or as a Pack. For example, a Scout participating on school teams or other organized teams may use those activities to fulfill the requirements of this scouting program.

Try to focus attention on Rank Advancement and Electives evenly, then work on awards. If you spend time on the three programs throughout the year, your Scout will have tons of fun!

Participation Patches

Our local council has a number of exciting opportunities it presents along with events hosted by partner organizations for recognition patches for participating in these events. Some of these include:

  • Trailblazer Day
  • Pinewood Derby
  • Camps
  • Events hosted by the Charlotte Knights, Charlotte Hornets, UNC-Charlotte and more.
